1881 shows both girls lodging with the CARROLL family.  There are also possible marriages on Free BMD.

Hi Karen,

Yes I have the 1881 census, Sarah married  Albert Searles, who is  my greatgrand uncle, but as yet I haven't found Mary Ann marriage. Sarah's father Henry died in 1873, but as yet I haven't found a remarriage or death for her mother Elizabeth.

In 1881 a Mary Ann HOCKETT married James COOPER West Ham Essex.

I found this as well...

Marriage Register
St James the Great Bethnal Green
Tower Hamlets
Ocober 29th 1887

George LITTLER 28 Bachelor Seaman of Bethnal Green Father = John LITTLER Deceased
Mary Ann COOPER 23 Widow of Bethnal Green Father = Henry HOCKETT Deceased

Both bride and groom signed
Witnesses were George BAKER and Elizabeth Mary BAKER

Wonder if this could be yours??

I have found a 1885 marriage for George Baker to Elizabeth Mary Hockett, not sure if this is Mary Ann's and Sarah mother, will look into this further. Thanks for
the onformation on Mary Ann'marriage, is there any chance you can check the 1888 marriage for Sarah to confirm I have the right person.
