BARTLETT family, Somerton

This family is proving ever more difficult to find information on!! And I thought it'd be easy!! If anyone thinks they may have any information please contact me. Related names (so far) are Surmon/Sermon, Fevin and Wheeler

I've now got the names Chant and Garrett and Masters, the wives who married into the Bartlett name! I wondered if someone could possibly help me to find James Bartlett b 1771 (approx) and he married a woman called Hannah....but I can't find her maiden name :(

Have you found thier marriage or them on the 1841 census  ???

Hi Hannah,

Why don't you join the Somerset Hundreds Group for  Somerton where you will find all those names you have mentioned.  It is free membership and accessed through Yahoo Groups.com (I think)

There is a James Bartlett baptised 24.4.1782 son of Hugh and Angel, which may be the one you want although it is 11 years out.  Also there is John baptised 25.12.1780 same parents.

There are many Bartlett families in Somerton, so I am sure you will have fun researching them.

If there is a file not yet transcribed that you need information from, let me know and I will look it up for you as I still have a couple of files to do.

Hi Hannah,

Just transcribed a burial entry and thought of you. 

James Bartlett buried 20 April 1833 at Somerton, age 51 years.  This would put his birth around 1782 which matches the baptism date I gave you yesterday.

I have Joseph Bartlett born 1742 Pitney and died 10th June 1793 Pitney. I have him married to Hannah but with no surname.
believe she was born 1745. If find her maiden name please let me know.

I am researching ANDREWS fromPitney & Martock areas and Bartlett married an Andrews so any info on Andrews will help

I have a Jospeh Bartlett b 20/11/1742 Pitney, Somerset married to Hannah Gifford 1766 in Pitney. A seond marriage is recorded to Grace Doble in 1772. This information is on Geneology.com.
