To see an 1861 Map of Denny, see: http://www.nls.uk/maps/os/25inch/view/?sid=74969250

No sign of an 'Ashwood' or that it was at the head of a 'Square'

According to an article published by Falkirk Local History on their website, the church was built in 1813.

P.S. Sorry about all the links - it's easier for you to have a look yourself than try and explain everything!  :)
