JOHN/JENEFER GAY lost in Bodmin

Having great difficulty locating this family on 1851 census.

John Gay married Jenefer (Jenifer) Geach at Sithney, Helston
1841 census living Churchtown,  Helston with 4 children Sophia, Asenath, Mary and Ann. John occup. - tin miner

Sophia married in Bodmin in 1847
Asenath married in Bodmin 1853
Mary Jane in Stratton 1856 and Ann in Bodmin in 1862.

Presume from above family must have moved to the Bodmin area pre 1847, but cannot locate any of them on the 1851 census.
