Burials in late 1800's
« on: Saturday 14 August 10 12:34 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I am wondering if anyone would know where burials in Hanley would have been in 1884.
I have a great grandfather who died at home in Sidney street Hanley in June 1884. now I am wondering which cemetary would have covered this area at the time of 1884. his wife died in July 1903 alsao in Hanley.
my Grandparents  also lived in Hanley one died 1907 and the other died 1934.again was wondering where they may have been buried .
would appreciate it if there is anyone out there with knowledge of where was the place that most burials were done.
regards, JUNE.

Hi June

Try www.wishful-thinking.org.uk/genuki/STS/MIs.html. This is a list of monumental inscriptions in Staffordshire. There is a section that covers Hanley. Good Luck!
