I may be able help here Jackie but will need a couple of days. Just about to board a ferry and won´t have the internet til Saturday.
I am working on N Romney and have some Old Romney records, so if no one else answers your request I may be able to help

So far I have only found Thomas Ingles Sivier s/Thomas & Mary Ann c 21/6/1817 and born 4/5/1817.

Thomas is an exciseman.

This is New Romney.

My records for Old Romney are the BTs and stop around 1813!!

Am still looking.

It seems this will be complicated

This Thomas Ingles Sivier, is the only child born to Thomas & Mary Ann.

I wonder if the Curate made a mistake and Thomas was the son of Francis & Mary Ann.

Also most of my records for this area are for BTs so as I said only up to 1812.

But I hope to be in Canterbury some time in September. So will do a quick search of places in the area not covered by the new pilot records scheme.

Please send me a pm to remind me to do this.

This is interesting ................

Francis SIVIER was committed to New Romney Gaol sometime between January 1823 and January 1824 for running away and leaving his children whereby they became chargeable to the parish (House of Commons papers: Volume 19 - Page 52 - 1824)

So that means they should appear in the New Romney poor records somewhere
