Completed - Looking for Robert Scott of 7 Wellington Rd, Hawick

With help from others I've found cemetery records from Wilton, Hawick, that show my long lost relatives died at Peel Hospital in Galashiels...so I'm thinking they may have lived in or near Galashiels or perhaps Hawick?

Robert Scott buried Jan 24, 1966, age 68 yrs, occupation Hosiery Foreman.

Mary Scott, widow of Robert Scott, buried May 14, 1968, age 71.

Any help to determine where they lived, or whether they had children would be greatly appreciated.  My family emigrated to Canada in 1880 and lost connection with this branch of our family.   thanks all.

Thanks to another kind person who found the relevant newspaper notices below. Now if I could just  learn whether Robert and Mary had any kids?  All ideas on how to look into that would be appreciated.

As I've now determined that Robert and Mary were from Hawick I've decided to close this Selkirkshire discussion and move it over to the Roxbourghshire board.
