James Livermore of Hempstead, Essex (b. abt 1740) - COMPLETED
« on: Thursday 19 August 10 15:30 BST (UK) »
I am looking for details of James Livermore's parents. James married Rebecca Patrick on 17 October 1763 in Radwinter and the parish register states James is from Hempstead.

Rebecca was baptised on 25 November 1742 so I am assuming that they were around the same age and, therefore, have been trying to find James' baptism record around that time (using the internet). I have found an entry on the IGI for Jacob Livermore, son of Thomas and Mary Livermore, baptised 23 December 1739 in Hempstead, so this could potentially be a brother (although equally may not be).

Can anyone help with any additional info please?

The Essexseax site has baptisms 1693-1744, Burials 1665-1747 and marriages 1664-1748 on-line for Hempstead.

Fantastic, thanks Paco. I didn't know that site actually had the images of the registers, so I'm sure that's going to help me much more than just with this query. But as a start I've found James' baptism record, which means I can get back at least another generation on my tree :)
