The Spotted Dog, Kingsthorpe Road

I have found out this week that some of my descendants on the Poultney side of the family were landlords of the Spotted Dog in Kingsthorpe Road. I think I found abt it first in the 1911 census and then in the will info which has just came out on ancestry.

I would like to find out more about it and its history, does anyone know anything about the Spotted Dog?.

What a great picture of the Pub my Mother and Father met in 1943. My father was an American soldier and  my Mother an English beauty. They got married at Saint Pauls in 1944 and Mom left for America February 1946. She lived at 5 Monarch Terrace in Northampton.I will show her the photograph , she'll be 90 years old in December. Maiden name Chapman

Richard the one you have is in Alpha Street and it seems the same as
the one here which is on the  corner of Kingsthorpe Hollow.
