All this is fantastic imagine her and I being in the same line and a photo into the bargain you really have pulled out the stops this time Sanrda and I am very grateful to you. I didn't know that Letitia existed had all the rest of the sisters and brothers marriages etc. that is how I couldn't understand him going to an aunt . What threw me as well I looked at Sarahs death cert. and it had her maiden name as McDowall when on her marriage lines it was Kilty however I got it all sussed out in the end but for to get all this is magic .
Sorry no extra room in case for you how about a stock of rock  8)

Wonderful - pleased it all help fill the gaps and the mystery is solved.   8)

The entry on the FS site said Leopold De Cabot was born 15 May 1874 Alsace. Lorraine. France.

After the Franco-Prussian War of 1870, the area was annexed by the newly-created German Empire in 1871 by the Treaty of Frankfurt and became a Reichsland. French troops entered Alsace-Lorraine in November 1918 at the end of the World War I and the territory reverted to France at the Treaty of Versailles of 1919.

So in theory Leopold Decapot was born in Alsace. Lorraine. Germany.

I've been trying to work this out  Leopold's age back to being born in the 1870's . Wonder if there was divorce in these days . Elizabeth must have been his 1 st wife wasn't a very long marriage married 1896 to Elizabeth then married to Margaret 1904 .In 1917 he gives his sister as his next of kin maybe Margaret and him have parted .Oh where are they in 1920 I wonder
