English Domestic workers in Paris in 1820s
« on: Saturday 21 August 10 11:00 BST (UK) »
My ancestor, Samuel Mowles and his wife Mary had a daughter baptised in the chapel of the British Embassy in Paris in 1823.  They appear on the document as "domestic".  Has anybody any idea how I could find out who they were working for?
