Helpful tip:-

If you use firefox there is an add-on called Mouse gestures

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/39/

It Allows you to execute common commands (like page forward/backward, close tab, new tab) by mouse gestures drawn over the current webpage, without reaching for the toolbar or the keyboard.
You can also use click-only "rocker" gestures which are even faster than drawn gestures

See here for detailed description

And a further hint ... also in FireFox ... the <Backspace> button on your keyboard also works as a Back button.

I had same prob with IE. When I closed IE and then reopened it the 'Back Button' had returned.
 Maybe just a simple glitch !!!!!  Jake01.
