Hi there i have just found out that my 3 x grt Grandfather on 2 occasions was imprisioned for Larceny once in 1849 and again in 1851 as well as his daughter and sons(one being my 2 x grt Grandfather) for Hawking along with a grt grt Uncle ! All were imprisioned in Gloucestershire Gaol i am trying to obtain copies if poss for William Clarke,James,John and and Mary Ann Clarke,i already have the following obtained thru the Romany jib site
1884 1st January Gloucs
John Clarke larceny 3 months along with
James Loveridge
Moses Scarrott and Johnathan Scarrott all tried with him all receaved 3 months
What id like to do is obtain copies for the above gaol records does anyone know how i can go about doing this please?Any help greatfully receaved

I think I found a record online and bought a copy from Gloucester Record Office.

It wasn't expensive.

 There are numerous records on An******, covering court, Government and criminal records. I recently found one of my black sheep ancestors also convicted of larceny on this site. Good luck.

Hi, I have recently found that my great great grandfather was Carline Scarrott, daughter of Moses and Matilda Scarrott.

Caroline married William Stroud and lived in Gloucester
