« on: Monday 30 August 10 12:47 BST (UK) »
Gt Grandparents Charles Anderson and Sarah Monaghan married on 13 July 1859 at St Columba's RC Church Drumoghill,
Raymoghy Parish, Donegal.  I found a James and Patrick born to them on IGI 1864/67 Raphoe Donegal and mention of a sister
Sarah Jane but no luck on finding a record of her.  I do have my Grandfather
John's birth certificate  27 Dec 1871, New Row, Clonleigh Parish.  according to my mother he loved fishing and a favourite songs
'boating on the Finn' and 'Spare the old mud cabin' anybody know the lyrics?
I have not been able to find any record of Charles or Sarah previous to their marriage.  Any help appreciated.

The IGI lists more than 5 children (not 2) and Irish Marriages (LDS Pilot site) gives more details:
1. James born 13 July 1864 Raphoe district (page 356 in civil register)
2. Patrick born 1 May 1866 Raphoe district (page 379 in civil register)
3. Patrick born 14 July 1867 Raphoe district (page 345 in civil register)
4. Mary Anne born 25 Sept.1869 Co.Donegal (page 349 in civil register)
5. John born 27 Dec.1871 Castlefin district (page 402 in civil register)
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Many thanks for the IGI information, I had a problem entering details on the LDS 'Pilot' search, but have found to only click the single 'Ireland' which brought the results you found.

Hi

I have a Sarah Anderson married to Charles Kelly 1875 in Derry.  Her Father, John was from Donegal but was dead at the time of her marriage.

Does any of this ring a bell with you?

Good Luck Barbara

You were looking for the lyrics of Boating on the Finn:

Spare the old mud cabin was written by Tom Maguire, a music hall artist who appeared with stars like Marie Lloyd, but I can't immediately find the lyrics on line.

Hello

Charles is my Grandfather as and I am stuck also. The only possible lead I have is that there is a possibility that Charles was born in Scotland....Bonnybridge has cropped up in conversation.  I have recently started my research and having problems with Scottish records w Ancesrty.co.uk

Good luck!
