Hi,

I have found out where my Great Uncle's wife was from, Charleville oak, ireland. however, I still cannot find their marridge and I have to confess i have no idea where this place is.

They are:-

Frederick William Hogton and Elizabeth ? he was born 1888 ish and she was born 1886 ish.

If anyone has any information that could help me regards this pair, i would be grateful.

Thank you

could that be Charleville, Cork ?

It's a town in North county Cork, close to the border with Co. Limerick.

see the topic Introduction to Irish Records, for details on searching the BMD index, ordering certs etc

The details from Civil registration index you need are explained through Shane's link. The LDS Pilot site results also contain other LDS details which are not needed (image #, etc.).

For the marriage the details are Frederick Hogton Jan./Mar.1904 Cork registration district, volume 5 page 148

Will move this thread to CORK board.

Thank you so much for the marridge info, I have spent 2yrs searching for it, but could never find it, I broke one wall finding where she was from form the 1911 census, but still the marridge eluded me.
