Ann Wheatley
« on: Monday 06 September 10 14:02 BST (UK) »
Bit of a strange one this, so please bear with me.

While up in Scotland on holiday we visited my sister-in-law and we got round to talking about family tree, my brother in-law brought out a picture of his Mum and Dad taken on their wedding day in RAF unifom in 1943, this is the only picture he has as his Mum spent months in an Iron Lung just after Ronnie was born and died when he was still a tiny baby. Ronnie has managed to find the marriage certificate but is really struggling to find her birth one, only information I have is her name was Ann Wheatley could possably be her first name was Emma and she used her middle name, she was born in Spalding Linconshire I would dearly love to give Ronnie the information he needs, and would be grateful for any help as so where and what i can do to find this.

Thanks all sorry if its a bit of a mumble here.

Is her age on the marraige cert or does it just say 'full age'

Where does the info that she may be called Emma and that she was born Spalding come from?

The only marriage I can see in 1943 is for an Annie L Wheatley in Staines Middx, to a George Lawrence - is that her?
If not - where did it take place?
And what is all the info from the marrige cert - fathers name and occupation etc.

Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Hi Liz, just tried to ring Ronnie he is out so left message and asked him to relate to me what he has found on wedding cert, I know she married Charles Hunter I think the marraige took place in Scotland during the war.

Thanks

This looks likely to be her parents' marriage

Marriages Dec 1918
Seymour    Emma    (Wheatley)    Spalding    7a   879
Wheatley    Thomas    (Seymour)    Spalding    7a   879
