Cape Coast Hill Club
« on: Wednesday 08 September 10 15:14 BST (UK) »
my parents were married in Ghana (then the Gold Coast), and I have a set of silver spoons that my dad apparently won playing tennis at the club - the name is engraved on them. i found a reference to the club, which was apparently founded in 1927 by Sir Richard Hill, hence the name. Does anyone know if the club still exists and if there are any archives relating to it?

I am  presently the chairman of Hill Club-Cape Cape Coast and wish to inform you that the club is still in existence with a membership of 42. There is a board indicating the names of members who won tennis tournament from 1950- 1964. I would be most pleased if you could provide me with the name of your father. I would also like to know the source of your information on Sir Richard Hill as the founder of the club in 1927.

I have an information for you about your father, but the file is too big to attach to this message. This post allows only 500kb of attaced image and the photo I am sending as atttachment is more than 2MB. Let me have your e-mail address to enable me send it to your inbox.
