Burial Lookup Burdon
« on: Wednesday 06 April 05 08:10 BST (UK) »
Hoping someone can find me the burials of Joseph and Sarah Burdon who married at Hawton in 1793 and had 11 children there by 1813. I am trying to establish their approx. ages in order to take it back further.

The main problem is their name ... variously spelled as Burdun, Bordin, Birden etc... you get the picture :)

Thanks, Heather

Good morning to you Steve and thanks. Though it must be early yet as I'm looking for a Joseph not John :D

That looks like Sarah in 1854 so I'm away to find her on the 1851 to see what I can see :)

Looks like you cracked it this time :)

That looks like Joseph in 1844 (they are the grandparents of the Harriet Stokes I was searching for yesterday)

Thanks a lot!

Not to worry. She was with parents in 1851 and I have her marriage in 1867.

Can I ask another favour when you have time? Could you look at Hawton in 1841 and see if there were any Burdens (or whatever) living there? No hurry.

Cheers, Heather
