Marriage lookup please - TURNER - Halesworth
« on: Friday 17 September 10 23:32 BST (UK) »
Robert Turner was born in 1863 in Halesworth to William Henry Turner and Emma Maria (surname unknown).  Would anyone be prepared to do a marriage lookup for these parents in Halesworth in the years prior to 1863?  I really have no further information to go on I'm afraid, sorry.

Hi there

Sorry, I can't see any record of this marriage in Halesworth.

I also gather from your other posts that there is a bit of a question mark over Robert's details anyway. The nearest Halesworth record I can find refers to Arthur Robert Mills (s/o William & Emma Mills) born 27 Aug 1863, baptised 18 Oct 1863. This William was an attorney's clerk. Worth investigating?

Dave

Duck and Dave - none of those details really fit in.  We know Robert was born 6 May 1863 in Halesworth from his military records and know his parents names from same and marriage certificate but the trail seems to end there.  Not sure how to take it further back.  Dave, William Henry Turner was a clerk but there is no other suggestion of the name Mills so I don't think that's really worth investigating.  Thanks both anyway.
