« on: Saturday 18 September 10 20:36 BST (UK) »
Looking for descendants on the OBrien family.
This is  the info.available.
In 1901 census at Aghakine,Co.Longford
Andrew OBrien, age 40,born Co.Cavan,Agri.Labourer,head of household
Bridget OBrien,   age 37,born Co.Longford,wife
James                 age 15,born Co.Longford, son
Mary                   age 14,born Co.Longford,daughter
Patrick                age 8,born Co.Longford,   son
John                    age 5,born Co.Longford,   son

In 1911 census the family are at Aghnacliff,Co.Longford
Andrew                 as above,age 64
Bridget                   as above,age 62
Patrick                     Agri. Labourer. age 22
John                         Rural Post boy,age 16

In 1911 it states 4 children were born alive,3 still living
So either Mary or James had died since 1901.
My connection with the family is the John above was married to my aunt in U.S.A.
She has recently died & John is still alive in Florida.
Their daughter plans to visit,Ireland in the future & would like to meet her OBrien relatives as she knows all of her mothers side of the family.

A photocopy of Johns Baptism in Gowna,Co.Cavan was sent to me.I have unfortunately mislaid it (temporarily I hope) as his parents names were given.

Any info. would  be greatly appreciated

Maura Skelly

Apologies,I should have said that John mentioned in the census is the father of John, who married my aunt.My uncle in law is 82approx.
John born in 1896 emigrated to U.S.A.,married a woman from Cork & had a son & daughter.
