I am researching the Irish Brigade, and have found posts in Rootschat very successful in finding more about the men, often from descendants
I have little on Patrick Long
(link to his page) Here was apparently from Birr
From his service number in the Leinsters one can get a putative birth date of 1894
Joined Leinster Regiment in 1911
Taken POW in late 1914
Joined Casements Irish Brigade
And that is about it. I cannot find him in censuses as there is not really enough to go on, same in BMD as I do not know his exact age.
So anyone in Birr know of a Lynch in Casements Irish Brigade
