You'll probably have a better chance of getting a response from your posts if you can explain exactly what you are looking for and what information you've already found (or not found).

Captain Edward Jones Smith was my great great great grandfather.n. He was born in 1809 , I think in Dublin. His wife name Marianne but have no idea what her maiden name was or where she came from. He is buried in Newcastle Co Wicklow. He was according to his headstone  served in her majestsy's india forces for 37 years. Unfornunately I do not know anything else about him. According to Griffith Valuation he lived in Dunbur Co Wicklow. His Father name was also Edward Smith Esq from Dublin.

Since civil registration of births in Ireland started in 1864 there will be no birth certificate for him and there may not be surviving church records of a baptism for such an early date.
Have you checked available Dublin church records here?
