Are there any other sites apart from Ellis Island that give similar information to that of Ellis Island?

Ellis Island website (www.ellisisland.org) covers New York passenger arrivals 1892-1924. Earlier records are at www.castlegarden.org. Ancestry do have some records also but is it New York details you are interested in finding or another U.S. port?

I have found all the information that is available about my ancestor arriving at Ellis Island on four occasions.

But there is a gap of a few years.

I thought that maybe he had sailed into other ports or even other countries.
