Hi,
You could try contracting the owner of this site;

The Crown and Anchor was only Reg in 1926 and was as you say at 17 Front St.

I've been told that book has been out of print for years, I'd love a copy.

Is there a copy of this book in Pembroke Dock library? If so perhaps a photo copy of the picture could be obtained.

It is always the same the moment you want a book it is out of print. I have a copy of http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lost-Houses-Wales-Thomas-Lloyd/dp/0905978226 I didn't realise that it was so scarce.

I did find a copy of Pembrokeshire Under Fire the other week, no photo of Front Street though.

Anyone want a photo of Front Street I can always nip and get it for you. Except for the cars and a lack of boats there is little difference there now than it was early 20th century.
From my research be carefull, street house numbers and names in P.D. at least went through at least 2 complete changes that I am aware of and that includes Front Street. So what is 17 and 19 Front Street now where different pre 1900 and probably different pre 1880's.
Front Street the very 1st Street of the new town of Paterchurch Dock begun in 1814, 3 years later officially desginated under its new name as the town of 'Pembroke Dock', was a lot shorter street than you see today.
I do have a small collection of old postcards of early P.D. and Pembroke streets.
There is no picture in Keiths book of the Pub only written reference.
Hope this helps
