Sophia Wheatley lunatic asylum

Sophia Wheatley was born 1841 and was a general servant.

she ended up at the Lunatic Asylum, is there any way i can find out why she was there?



The 1891 and 1901 census shows her to be an inmate at the Lunatic Asylum. (renamed Cheadle Hospital.)
it looks like she died there too.. is there any way i can find out what she died from?

The death certificate will give you the cause of death

It might be worth e-mailing the local archive office to see if they have the records you might get luck and someone will look it up for you
