John Cairns and Margaret Ritchie
« on: Saturday 02 October 10 12:10 BST (UK) »
Hello

I am searching for any information on my ancestors John Cairns and Margaret Ritchie.  I know they are buried with two of their children in the Manor Valley churchyard however have not been very successful with any other research.  Also on their gravestone it mentions 'Sheepherd at lour'.  Is lour a village?.
Any help or information is very much appreciated

kind regards
Lynne

Lynne, there is mention of Lour on link below, it's seems to have been part of the Dawyck Estate in Peeblesshire
