Hatton in Thundridge/Ware Herts.

Doing research on this family. Wm Hatton b.1607(?) owned a beerhouse, mentioned in Thundridge Parish records as a builder/mason and owned Five Horses Shoes ( later named Sow & Pigs). He had three sons, and two daughters. The son I am interested in John Hatton b.1639 married to Alice Vicaridge by license in Edmonton,Mdlsex.(I think she was actually Alice Pickeringe)My hypothesis is that their son, William. b.1668 moved to Nuthall,Notts. Wm(1668-1733) was listed as a taylor?(i.e.clerk guess)in Nuthall PRs. The family was not known before 1694 anywhere  in the area. His son, John (b1694-1776) was named gentleman and fwk. The family either were masons or fwk. I understand that many fwknitters left London to escape higher labor costs and settled in Notts.,Derbys.
Is anyone doing research on this family to either prove or disprove my wild theory? William Hatton(b.1607) did not die in Ware or Thundridge.
Names connected: Mary Edwards, aforementioned Alice,Catherine Payne.
Of course the family want them connected to Sir Christopher Hatton.  ::) Thanks in advance.
