John Lancaster WW1 Infomation needed
« on: Wednesday 06 October 10 21:34 BST (UK) »
Hi all Im searching for infomation on my Great Grandfather
John Lancaster living in Hanover Street, Henley, Stoke On Trent
and was married to My G Grandmother Cecilia Lancaster Formally Roberts
The only infomation I have of him was that in 1920 my Grandmother's birth certificate her name was Winnie
it showed him as a Coal loader and Ex-Army
I know Its a very long shot but could someone please help me to find out if and what Regiment John served with during WW1

Thanks Joe

Hi,

I believe his service records are on Ancestry.  John Lancaster living at 77 Hanover Street, Hanley.
During WW1 he was in the Labour Corps and his number was 669566.  He had been in the Army previously.

Regards,
Mo
