Royal Warwickshire Regiment 1900-1908
« on: Thursday 07 October 10 16:22 BST (UK) »
I have found a member of my family was in the Royal Warwickshire Regiment from 1900-1908 and have his service papers from Ancestory site. I am unable to see what battalion he is in and asked at St John's museum in Warwick but was told it would be difficult to find this out. I have his regiment number but again have been told this won't help me. Any ideas how I can find out more please? :)

Those locations match the short-lived 3rd Battalion of the Warwicks. They were disbanded shortly after he was transferred to the army reserve. If he was guarding Boer prisoners in Malta he would be entitled to the Queens Mediterranean Medal. It should say so on the page that summarises his home and overseas service.
