this is another I believe taken at the same time as Dandy & parents.
The epitome of the fashionable young lady. The Bishop's sleeve with Vandyking & bold contrasting pattern finished with a lace Bertha & buttoned bodice mid - late 1850's.
This is a nice one,you can just make out the lace & pearl bow in her hair.

Jim I am so impressed with the knowledge you have on the fashion of this era. I can't believe you picked up the lace & pearl bow in her hair... I can barely see it!  Old family correspondence says that this family fell on hard times but judging by the clothes of this woman it wasn't during this period of time.  Do you have any idea what age she would be?

I don't think she's as old as she might look.I would say late teens - early 20's.

Yes...I think these sleeves would have been engageants...detachable for cleaning.

Very (VERY) quick tidy up from me.  I haven't got time to spend fixing up her beautiful stripy dress, but someone else hopefully will  :)

Prue what a great job you've done on her.  Wonderful to see. I am wondering if this girl is the same person as in the CDV I posted? Do you think it is the same girl?

You're welcome - I wish it was a better job  :-\

I think that might be the same gal, she has the same eyebrows (one very curved, one more angular) and even the exact same hairstyle!  CDV taken a few years later  :)
