1609 Latin Probate
« on: Sunday 10 October 10 22:39 BST (UK) »
I am trying to validate that Elisabeth HUTCHENS & Thomas HUTCHENS were sister & brother.

The 1609 Will of Elisabeth HUTCHENS did not appoint an executor and it appears (by the wording) that she made a verbal Will.

Part of the Will, but crossed out, includes a section that may read “gave unto Thomas HUTCHENS her brother all

Can anyone understand this Probatum & translate the part to do with Thomas HUTCHENS?

“Pawle [Paul]
xjo die maij 1609 [11th May 1609]
Testatem and Inven
Elisebethe HUTCHENS
pbate ....
....
.... Thoma HUTCHENS”

Regards
Grantley
