I came across this yesterday and hope it might be of interest.
http://www.archives.gov/aad/Go to this site and click on the red Search button near the top left of the page (right after the the large blue AAD logo) - this will bring you to a search page - there are these headings above the search area

Indexes to Other Records Click on the People option without entering any other data yet
You will now see a page titled
List Series That Identify People Scroll down the page to near the bottom, you will see an entry labelled

I found it interesting to search by a person's name - you can use wildcard entries as well.
