Hi William,

Thanks for your reply.  Could you possibly look up the death of my grandparents the next time you are in Belfast City Library and would you be able to either get photos or copies of the scans.

My grandparents were called:

Mary Ann Farren nee Marshall  who died in 22 July 2000
William Farren who died 9th July 1975

Thanks for your help

Kieran

hello kieran257, sorry to say i found nothing in the paper for william 09 july1975, was that the right dates? i did find two for mary ann farren 22july 2000, as follows.the committee and members of john mitchel g.a.c. claudy, deeply regret the death of mary ann farren and tender deedest sympathy to the family and family circle. our thoughts are with you at this sad time. alos on the 25july 2000, o`briens g.a.c. wish to extend their sympathy to michael ( assi treastrer) on the death of his mother mary ann . i looked days before and after july 2000 but that was all. you could try milltown cemetery for mary ann the dates are right , william might be there too. let me know how you get on . wont be back till dec .let me know how you get on. regards william

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone could be so kind to do a few lookups for me in the Irish news as I believe that the Belfast Central library have old copies of the newspaper.

I would do it myself but unfortunately I live in London and the paper has now gone that you need to have a subscription.

Thanks for all your help it is very much appreciated.

Kieran
