COMPLETED with thanks,4, 5, or 6?
« on: Thursday 14 October 10 16:22 BST (UK) »
Considering the different cutoff dates of each census this is my question.

1. If a child was born in the first quarter of 1875 (Jan-Mar) what age would be recorded in the 1881 census.

2. If a child was born in the last quarter of 1875 (Oct-Dec) what age would be recorded in the 1881 census.

For a NOTTING HILL birth 1875 would the registration district be Kensington, Marylebone or Fulham? Is it possible the district was interchangeable and any of the three names was used?

Simple questions that have me very confused.
With thanks for your help.

Hi

The 1881 census was taken on the night of 3 April 1881

1) 6
2) 5

Hi,

A Notting Hill 1875 birth would be registered in Kensington.  Fulham was included in the Kensington district until 1 April 1875 when it transferred to the Fulham district.
