Shaw Family in Leeds/Wakefield?

Hi everyone!

I'm new to this site so bear with me :-)
I am trying to find out any information about any Romany families by the name of Shaw..particularly with links to the Leeds and Hemsworth areas of Yorkshire.
Possible names of William Shaw and John Shaw...around the time of 1872.
My dad's paternal family line has always been surrounded with secrecy and no father was recorded for  my great grand-dad or any of his siblings.
There has always been whispers of romany gypsy blood and they were all dark haired and dark skinned!
Im babbling now but will add more if and when I remember! Thanks :-)

Hi Fran would love to talk to you more about this as I have been told the same Iv done a DNA test 23 and me don't know if you can inbox me on here I just searched on Google about Shaw family and gypsy travellers in yorkshire, we had Shaw's in Yorkshire aswell also Robinson's and gypsy blood aswell.
