Can anyone please help me find the birth details for William Homden/Omden/Holmden etc etc c1856.
He appears age 5 on the 1861C living with his parents William & Kezia in Ash. His birthplace was given as Meopham. In 1871 the family are living in Wrotham & Williams birthplace is given as Ash.
His parents married in 1855 in Ash & most of their children were born there - I have found the entries for most of their children in the parish registers on the Medway Cityark site. Unfortunately I cannot find William - have tried Meopham, Ash & Ridley. I have tried FreeBMD & LDS without success & my crystal ball is starting to crack up under the strain.
He went on to marry Emma Hills in 1880 & have at least 8 children - I am beginning to think his parents didn't register the birth of their first son.
