can anyone help me please? I have found Robert Landsey in 1861 Census, living with his wife and children in at The Mitre, North Petherton, Somerset. His Occupation is given as a Chelsea Pensioner, I asssume he has been in Ireland as three of the children are born there, (1850, 1852, 1853) then he has come back to england, and had two further children. Does anyone have any ideas how I can find out anything about his Military Career please?

HI,,You can buy a few credits if you wish,,,you do not have to subscribe,  His record is 12 pages long,,,an interesting couple of pages regarding him being court martialled

On the National Archives site they have Robert Landsey born Charlinch, Somerset, served 68th Foot 1834-1854, discharged aged 42.  You can download from there if that's him but I don't know how much that will cost.
You can probably find details of what the 68th Foot did on the internet.
