Just back from our trip to Banchory.  I did have a quick look around the cemetery but it was snowing quite heavily by the time I had found my 2xGGF grave so I couldn't in all conscience ask my hubby and our hostess to hang around in it :(  I couldn't find a George Main (or any other Main) gravestone and there were no 'officials' there to ask - sorry!

thank you so much for all your messages    havent checked this site for a while now   between moving house and caring for my other half plus still working full time and having my grandson at weekends!!!!!!!!!     i really appreciate your help and suggestions   needless to say i have not yet made it up to portlethen but i am still hoping to get there   once again many thanks for your help
