Montrose Memorial Inscriptions
« on: Saturday 09 April 05 14:10 BST (UK) »
Hi I am stuck on my Alexander Spark he married Elizabeth Nicol in Montrose in 1763.

I cannot go back any further with Alexander as I have a choice of 3 entries - none in Montrose.

Alex and Eliz had a son Alexander born 1764 in Montrose who was a hairdresser - I know his unmarried daughter Helen died 1856 is buried in Montrose.

Does anyone have access to or know where I can buy a transcript of Montrose memorial Inscriptions to see the Spark burials there?

Cheers

Jane

hello,
I am wondering if it would help you to find Montrose Memorial inscriptions... why dont you contact Montrose Library to seee if they have books on gravestone inscriptions that is what i did found at Montrose Library I just got information on my gggg grandparents's gravestone inscriptions.    Try to contact Montrose Library to see if they can help you.  Or contact Angus Archives in Forfar (they have different records on everything from Angus Scotland anywhere from Dundee, Montrose, etc.
Good luck.  Maggie64
