They're listed in the 1828 Trade Directory...does anyone know where I could find out more information about them, please ?

Hi,

You could try Nottingham Archive (County) to see if they hold anything on the firm, or possibly worth a shot is the Nottingham University archive mss-library@nottingham.ac.uk.

Both are always very helpful!

Best wishes,

Hi

Look at link below:

http://www.lentontimes.co.uk/issue_6/oct91_4.htm

It tells you exactly where George and wife Mary lived and their previous address. George died 1854 aged 80.

Greyingrey who posts on here has done alot about these people:

There is loads of information on the thread above. I suggest you contact Greyingrey as it is a subject familiar to them. Contact:

and send them a personal message.

There is a book: William Felkin (1795-1874) - Author of the 'History of the Machine-Wrought Hosiery and Lace Manufactures' Absolutely brilliant and available in libraries.

Of course if you could get to Nottm Archives..........

Good luck

Jane
