Hi and welcome to Rootschat

There are 2 John Temple deaths in 1903 in the Tynemouth registration district which covered Walker

One in the June qtr 1903 aged 83

One in the September qtr 1903 aged 62

Which one is your ancestor?

Hi Dolly, I have John`s Death certificate, he died of cardiac disease and dropsy, so nothing suspicious. Just wondered if family members would be shown on death notices then. DUREAY

Ah, Usually the informant of the death would be a relative, an address where the person died,
but otherwise not much else to go on.
Hard isin't it ?        Good Luck

Hi CaroleW, I know a bit. My grandfather, also John TEMPLE, was there at time of his fathers death. On the 1901 census they were all living in South Shields. Just thought the obits might have someone new. DUREAY

DUREAY,

I sometimes look up Death Notices published in the Evening Chronicle.

Maybe you could reduce the size of the search window by providing the date of death !

But not looking good, as the online index of Evening Chronicle death notices,  ( on the GenUKI site) only shows the 75 yr old (5 June 1903 Newcastle) and the 83 yr old (11 May 1903, Gosforth ) (Dates are of the EC editions), And not the 62 yr old !
