1871 Lincolnshire census index please - Completed
« on: Sunday 10 April 05 14:30 BST (UK) »
Hi
Can anyone tell me if there is a county wide index for 1871 census as I am looking for Ellis William Sutton who would have been 18 born in Kirton Lincs and probably just finished his drapery apprentice.  He is not with his family in Frampton, Lincs and by 1876 he was in Bradford Yorkshire.  I believe he worked as a draper but also studied photography before he emigrated to Australia so am not sure how to go about looking for him in 1871 census.
Any advice or help greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Carmel

The mystery name of Ms Boothby is Harriet.  An extravagant curl on the "H" looks like an "e".

Thanks Heather
Just got this as closing down my daughters computer for the night.  I thought it would take me ages to find him but decided it was worth a try.  He is a brother to our ancestor but has direct descendants living not far away and we found out last July that their daughter is a woman we've known for 7 or 8 yrs from our daughters school.  Small world.
Goodnight and thanks again
