Looking for any info on a Crawford Allingham,born I think 1906.I am trying to find out which of my great grandmother's(Elizabeth Stein died 1944)daughters he married.I know he was her son in law and present at her death and that's about all at the moment.Oh she also had two married names,Wright and Walmsley.

If you search for Crawford Allingham under marriages in Scotland's People there are only 4 entries (only costs 1 credit to view)- adding the name 'Stein' for bride shows 0 results (even with fuzzy search in place).

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi Aghadowey,I have been trying all sorts of combinations in Scotlands People and coming up with nothing.Am I doing something wrong? any suggestions most gratefully recieved as Deb and I have been on this for hours.

Go to Scotland's People and do a marriage search- put in Allingham for surname and Crawford for first name.

There was a Crawford Allingham (born c1891 from memory) who went to U.S, and died there. Googling 'crawford allingham' brings up several family trees.

Aghadowey,you genius,he was born in 1897 and married Jane in 1918 in Edinburgh.
