I'm searching for the parents of my 2nd great paternal grandfather.

He was William Bennett.
Birth abt 1847 in Liverpool; Bootle, Lancashire, England

He was married to Agnes Kennedy

I can find him in the 1881, 1891 and 1901 census with Agnes and his children: (77 Eversley Street in 1881 and 77 Wordsworth Street in 1891 and 1901 both Toxteth Park)

William Bennett & Agnes Henderson Semple 1873 St.Michael Toxteth. 8b 827

Donald Kennedy b. 1865 West Derby
Samuel Semple Kennedy b. 1870 West Derby

Mabey Agnes who married Donald could have been married before,
Agnes  who married William could be the daughter of her first marriage,


The marriage certificate might help.
