Hi,

Can anyone help me find any information on where the shop would of been???

In the 1881 census Brimer's occupation is Staioner Booksellar and he was residing at 13 Drumdryan St.  In 1891 census his occupation is the same and now residing at 7 Marshall Street, Edinburgh.
I think he may of also sold stamps.

I am unable to find him in the 1901 census!

Can you always include birthyears and birthplaces with lookup requests 

1881 shows him b 1854 Edinburgh and married to Janie 1855 b Inverness

1891 indexed as Bremer - children at that time were Beatrice I aged 3 and Lionel B aged 11mths - both b St Giles Edinburgh

I have a brick wall!!!

I posted an early plea for help with the 'Given' Family. I am unable to find a birth and death for Janie Given, also 1901 census for Brimer, Janie & their children  Isabella Beatrice Given  b 1888 and Lionel Brimer Given b 1890 - both born St Giles Edinburgh

What is have is Brimer Given b 11 Aug 1853 St Cuthberts  d 6 May 1917  Edinburgh.  On the marriage cert (1879 Kirknewton) his wife's name is Janie Macintosh, father Alexander MacIntosh, mother Jainie MacIntosh m.s Grant, (both deceased) on the two census I can find for Brimer & Janie (1881 & 91) her place of birth is Inverness b c1855.  I have tried searching 1871 for Janie, I may have found her as a Servant at Glentanar House, but I am unsure. I have also searched for a birth in Inverness on SP and death for Edinburgh & Inverness.  On Brimer's death it just says married to Jeanie McIntosh, so she is not shown as deceased at 1917. 

Can anyone help me please!!! I would very much appreciate it.
