Emigration to Scotland
« on: Thursday 11 November 10 00:53 GMT (UK) »
I was looking to see if anybody would have insight to why somebody would move to Scotland to have a child...   What I know of my ggm is that she got pregnant at 18 years old in 1911 and had my gm in Scotland.  She had another child while there and moved back a year later where she gave birth to a third.  I have this record, father's name not listed, just his occupation as a Mill Worker.  I'm assumimng she got pregnant out of wedlock...  She was working as a servent for a very wealthy family (Scottish Decent) at the time she got pregnant.  Any theories or direction welcomed.

See that you've several related posts on various boards which could cause duplication and confusion for those trying to help.
