Henry Gower

In 1901 census Henry Gower b. approx 1860 is listed as born in South Africa
he is listed along with his wife Ann - daughter Elizabeth Derbyshire age 21 and grandson Stanley Derbyshire age 1

I have been unable to find anything else -  no birth certificates for any of them -  except the baby -  no marriage certificates and no other census I wonder if by any chance they were in South Africa at any time - even though Ann (the wife )and Elizabeth( the daughter ) are listed as born in Liverpool -  I would appreciate any help -  Thanking you in advance!

I can't find the family under any combination of Gower or Humphries (various spellings of the surname for Annie's children by her first marriage) on the 1891 census.

This might be Annie on the 1881 census with her first husband, but then she would be slightly older than her second husband something she might have wished to play down when marrying him.
