County Monaghan prior to 1840 DOYLE/MIGINNITY/DOWD/WOODS

Hoping for info of my gtgtgrda  Joseph DOYLE family. He was from County Monaghan, possibly Truagh and was in  Kelly's Cross, Prince Edward Island  Canada  by 1840. he was born according to 1881 Canadian Census in 1811.  A carpenter by trade. His wife was Mary Miginnity aka McGinity. Wondering about the conditions in 1830 - 1840 in  County Monaghan which would have folk leaving ?
Also,  his son - my grdad Leander John DOYLE born 1893  March 30, mother's  maternal grandparents were JOHN DOWD + MARY WOODS.

I appreciate any help.
