Hi Greyingrey,

I'm afraid 7b relates to the whole of the district in the time frame 1852-1946  :-\

Don't know if this part of the Family Search site has had a mention?

http://maps.familysearch.org/

If you enter Gedling and then choose Civil Registration District it will show you surrounding parishes, etc.
Greensmith - Greasley, Nottinghamshire; Rigley - Nottinghamshire; Wightman - Nottinghamshire; Lee - Nottinghamshire; James - Berkshire (maybe Gloucestershire); Lyons - London; Harrop - Prestbury, Cheshire; Rockett - Middlesex; Chandler - Lambeth, Surrey (maybe Norfolk); Gates - Middlesex; Clark - Islip, Oxfordshire; Richards - Gouldhurst, Kent; Bent - Redbourne, Hertfordshire; Angel - Throwley, Kent; Coker - Middlesex; Bailey - West Lavington, Wiltshire

Well, that's just been bookmarked, thanks Hammerman - will come in very handy for parts of the country I'm not very (or at all) familiar with.
