« on: Monday 11 April 05 12:52 BST (UK) »
Is anyone able to find a Norris family living at one of these two places in 1841.

Mum could be Hannah b 1800

Thanks,
Fizzy

That is brill. Looks like there was a second marriage here then.

In 1871, Sarah Norris was Sarah Hooper and she was still living in Browns Lane.

Thanks very much.

Hi there,

I realize this is a really old post but I also have the Norris' from Great Bedwyn in my family tree.
I don't believe it was a remarry because of the childrens ages overlapping from both families.

I do belive Hannahs children, Sarah and Elizabeth were born out of wedlock.
On Elizabeths marriage cetificate (to a William Mills in 1854) She lists a Charles Thomas as her father.

The Willliam on the census is her father, not her husbands (as she didn't have one!)

Hannah is my 5th great grandmother :)

Great Bedwyn from 1650 - 1950  is just a mass of Norris'. The great great grandparents of them all were all siblings and they just all stayed there having children for generations! A Pyramid of Norris'!

I was going to private message you, but I'm afraid I couldn't find the option. If you happen to know how to, feel free to message me if you want to discuss the norris' further.
